Category Schools - Adaptive Physical Education Teacher Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to an exciting, full-time contract role supporting K-12 students. Qualifications & Experience:
Valid teaching credentials in Adaptive Physical Education. Knowledge of current best practices for modifying PE curriculum to suit a spectrum of student needs. Demonstrated experience working with students in K-12 educational settings. Excellent communication skills for collaboration with educators, therapists, and families. Ability to adapt quickly and creatively to meet diverse learning and physical needs. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple classes and documentation requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver adaptive physical education instruction for students across grades K-12. Assess individual student needs and develop tailored activity plans. Track student progress, implement IEP goals, and maintain detailed records. Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and school staff to ensure alignment and support for all students. Guide and motivate students to participate fully and safely in activities, using adaptive techniques and equipment as needed. Communicate with families regarding student achievements and areas for growth.
