Job Description:
Accepting Applications for Academic Year 2025-2026 Adjunct or part time teaching assignments include in person day courses for general population as well as for Massasoit's Early College Program and include opportunities at local high schools. Professors work collaboratively to create a learner centered environment focused on student learning and success. Teaching approaches are expected to include active and collaborative techniques and real-world applications related to composition and literature.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Create a community of learners Plan and implement active and collaborative learning and assessment Provide consistent feedback Evaluate achievement Assign grades Maintain student records of attendance, participation, grades, etc. Work collaboratively with divisional staff Monitor email communications from students and the college, and respond in a timely manner
Additional Opportunities:
Participate in instructional development and orientation, department, early college, and college wide activities.

Requirements:
Master's degree in Communications, or closely aligned field with radio and podcasting production, or an appropriate level of experience and training.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with and understanding of the community college environment. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Capable of maintaining academic standards with empathy and honesty. Knowledge of and experience using effective pedagogical strategies.

$1,397.00 per credit, consistent with the DCE Collective Bargaining Agreement. •If hired for the position mid-semester, the salary will be pro-rated based on the number of weeks left in the semester.
