Job Description

Apply Adjunct Lecturer of Pharmacology Elizabethtown, PA Apply Job Type Part-time Description This position is for a part-time, in-person, Adjunct Lecturer of Pharmacology at the Elizabethtown College Physician Assistant Program with duties to be performed on a 12 month basis. This faculty member is responsible for teaching graduate-level pharmacology courses for didactic PA students in compliance with expectations set forth by ARC-PA accreditation standards and the NCCPA blueprint under the guidance of the Program Director.
Job Duties:
  • Provide graduate-level lecture and curriculum to graduate PA students in the areas of pharmacology 1-2 times a week.
  • Assist the Program Director in the organization, administration, continuous and periodic review, planning, development, and general effectiveness of the PA program regarding pharmacology.
  • Develop, maintain, implement, evaluate, and ensure adequacy of the pharmacology course series to ensure compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.
  • Develop and implement assessments to evaluate student competency.
  • Evaluate student performance and competencies for pharmacology.
  • Provide student remediation in compliance with program expectations as needed in the area of pharmacology.
  • Provide and maintain a reliable schedule of office hours (2 hours a week) for student consultation.
Requirements Required Qualifications:
  • Pharmacist (PharmD) or Doctorate of Pharmacology
  • At least three (3) years of clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior teaching experience in physician assistant education is preferred, but not required For full consideration please provide cover letter, CV and contact information for (3) references.
Also, current ACT 153 clearances will be required consisting of PA Child Abuse, PA State Police and FBI clearances completed within the last five years in the event of teaching minor(s).
