Jobs › Dracut, MA › Admin Assistant to Principal Dracut Public Schools Admin Assistant to Principal Dracut, MA Apply The Campbell Elementary School is seeking an Administrative Assistant to the Principal/Vice Principal. This position is open due to a retirement that will occur at the end of August. The district would like the selected candidate to begin employment as soon as possible to allow for overlap/training to occur with the current Administrative Assistant.\
Responsibilities:

- Maintains the utmost level of confidentiality and security regarding all school related information and especially information protected as confidential by State and Federal Law\
- Maintains a regular and comprehensive filing system and assures that they are locked and secure at the end of each workday.\
- Creates memorandums and correspondence and processes incoming/outgoing correspondence.\
- Answers the office telephone(s), responds appropriately to requests for information, takes or directs messages for staff as appropriate.\
- Acts as the first point of contact and greets all visitors courteously using the secure door system assuring that all visitors and school staff adhere to sign in/out procedures.\
- Maintains an accurate school calendar of events and facility use for the principal, staff, and community groups.\
- Assists in the coordination of various school events.\
- Assists in the scheduling of substitutes and submits daily absentee list to human resources.\
- Ensures that substitutes have necessary supplies and materials.\
- Maintains, produces, and supplies payroll information as required.\
- Process purchase orders, maintain school supplies inventories and distribute supplies and materials.\
- Maintains accurate daily student attendance records and produces reports as required.\
- Shares relevant information regarding student attendance with appropriate staff.\
- Assists in scheduling students and staff in the student information system.\
- Registers students both in person and using the student information system and distributes documents to relevant staff regarding new registrations.\
- Withdraws students from the student information system and sends records to receiving school districts.\
- Maintains accurate student records in the student information system as necessary for state reporting purposes.\
- Processes report cards and various reports using the student information system\
- Assists in the annual evening kindergarten registration event (with additional compensation)\
- Any other duties and related tasks as assigned by the Principal/Assistant Principal and/or Superintendent.
Requirements:
\- High school diploma or equivalent required; Degree preferred.\
- Experience working in an office environment with school operations experience preferred.\
- Ability to operate a professional, organized, and efficient office.\
- Ability to prioritize tasks and accomplish work with frequent interruptions.\
- Proficiency in using student information system software (Aspen preferred)\
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite\
- Attention to detail.\
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.\
- Ability to work cooperatively with others.\
- Ability to respond accurately to requests for information and other matters in a fast-paced office environment.\
- Welcoming, pleasant demeanor as is necessary when interacting with students, staff and the public.\
- Resourceful with strong analytical and problem-solving skills\
- Willingness to adjust to changing needs and procedures.\
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
