WORK DAYS:
Hourly pay range minimum is $20.10; pay based upon experience; will work 7.5 hours daily and 37.5 hours weekly, normally work 197 days annually
Primary Purpose:
To assist the members of the campus-based evaluation team (e.g. Diagnosticians, LSSPs, SSP Interns, SLPs, SLPAs etc.) in duties related to supporting the ARD and special education evaluation process. Support as needed the Special Education Department with the day to day routine of the special education administrative office and other duties as assigned. Work under the direct supervision of the Director of Special Education. Working in collaboration with the campus-based evaluation team, campus administrators, and campus staff to support the organization and management of the routine work activities of the ARD and student evaluation processes. Provide clerical services to the Director of Special Education and campus-based evaluation team, to include proper handling of confidential information. This position is campus-based unless otherwise assigned by the Director of Special Education. Communicate positively and effectively with all levels of district employees, outside agencies, and the general public.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Effective communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of school district organization, operations, and administrative policies Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Basic math skills Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and file maintenance Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Experience:
Three years secretarial experience, preferably in a public education environment
