Job Description

East Missouri Action Agency has an opening for an Administrative Assistant in the Construction Training Program. This position provides administrative support to EMAA's Construction Training Project Coordinator in order to ensure smooth and continuous program operations. It oversees office expenditures, assists with training enrollment, marketing materials, website maintenance and reporting. Applicants must be 18 or older and must possess a high school diploma or GED. Applicants must have good communication and public relations skills, good computer and mathematical skills, good organizational skills and good typing and filing skills. Applicant must possess a valid Missouri Drivers License and have reliable transportation and valid vehicle insurance. The starting pay for this position is $16.00/hour. This position is considered part-time at 27 hours/week (Monday-Thursday). POSITION SUMMARY
Provide administrative support to EMAA's Construction Training Project Coordinator in order to ensure smooth and continuous program operations. Oversees office expenditure, assist with training enrollment, marketing materials, website maintenance, and reporting. 7.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES
A. Take applications for training program and complete all necessary forms. B. Assemble marketing materials C. Review client files upon execution of paperwork to ensure accuracy and completion and determine eligibility for program. D. Provide primary receptionist duties for the program; greet clients, answer phones as needed and complete required copy work. E. Assess situations with clients; determine who will handle and forward to appropriate staff. F. Purchase all supplies for programs plus track expenditures. G. Ensure office equipment is properly maintained. H. Responsible for daily mail and routing to appropriate staff. I. Maintain records of all training programs, students and attendance. J. Maintain program information on the web site. K. Ensure classroom and supplies are prepared for each class. L. Ensure all reporting is accurate and entered into appropriate software systems. M. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor to maintain a successful and ongoing program. 8.
TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED. A.

Must possess good typing and filing skills. F. Must possess high school diploma or equivalent. G. Must be proficient in the operation of office machines and equipment. H. Must be able to lift weights up to 25 pounds. I. Must possess a valid Missouri Drivers License. J. Must have reliable transportation and reliability insurance. K. Must maintain good attendance.
