Job Description

Overview The Administrative Assistant serves as the organizational backbone of the church, providing administrative, clerical, and communication support that enables pastoral staff and ministry leaders to focus on shepherding, teaching, and outreach. This role requires professionalism, discretion, spiritual maturity, and a heart for ministry. Key Responsibilities Office & Administrative Support Serve as the primary point of contact for phone calls, emails, and office visitors Manage church calendar, room scheduling, and appointments Prepare correspondence, reports, agendas, bulletins, and official documents Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems Communication & Coordination Assist with weekly service preparation and announcements Manage church communications (email, mailings, texts, website updates as assigned) Coordinate logistics for meetings, funerals, weddings, baptisms, and special events Support ministry leaders with scheduling and administrative needs Records & Data Management Maintain accurate membership and attendance records Assist with volunteer records and onboarding documentation Handle confidential information with discretion and integrity Financial & Operational Support (as assigned) Assist with invoice processing and expense tracking Prepare deposits or reports for the treasurer/bookkeeper Order office and ministry supplies

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Office-based with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities
Pay:
$24,500.00 per year
