Job Description:
Addiction Outreach Clinic is growing and has seven locations in OH and PA, with hiring needs at multiple locations. We provide a unique, outpatient opioid addiction treatment program that combines Sunbonnet® and monthly group counseling. Our practice includes a team of physicians and counselors that provide personalized treatment to help guide our patients on their path to recovery. The Assistant will be responsible for acting as a liaison between doctors and outpatients. He/she will observe the patients' drug testing and chart all results, making note of any significant concerns. This position is also responsible for all technical, security, and toxicology screening functions. Candidates will aid patients in adhering to the prescribed regimens. The selected candidate, under the supervision of the AOC Office Supervisor, is responsible for performing clerical and administrative office functions, including greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and working with insurance providers. Candidates must be able to work under pressure and be able to work with a diverse population, including staff, physicians, patients, and other members of the general public.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a caring disposition and enthusiasm for working with the addicted High school diploma or
GED Knowledge:
One plus years of office administrative/clerical work Effective communication, problem-solving techniques Operation of a computer, printer, and multi-line phones Organization; and attention to detail, and managing cash or payment collection Familiarity with basic medical terms, insurance billing, and medical software packages (e.g., MicroMD), and Revenue collection and cash depositing procedures Basic business English; including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic sentence structure and problem solving techniques Familiarity with MS Office/Excel, and various business/medical software packages (e.g., MicroMD) Revenue collection and cash depositing procedures Methods needed to gather relevant information from callers by asking appropriate questions
