Team Position Summary:
The Manager,EDRegistrationisresponsiblefortheoperationalleadership,administrativeoversight, anddailysupervisionofallemergency departmentregistrationfunctionswithintheirdesignatedfacilityorfacilities. Theincumbentisaccountableforalloperational,administrative, andsupervisoryactivitieswithintheassignedarea,ensuringemergency departmentregistrationservicesareperformedaccurately,efficiently, and inaccordancewithregulatory,accreditation,revenuecycle, and healthsystemstandards.

Thisrolemaintainsresponsibilityfortheplanning,coordination, andevaluationof EDregistrationoperations,includingdepartmentswithmulti-shiftandaround-the-clockoperationsreflectiveof thedynamicnatureof emergency services. The Managerprovidesdirectoversighttosupervisoryandregistrationcoworkersandparticipatesinhands-onoperationalactivitiesasneeded.

Thispositionisaccountablefordepartmentalperformance,includingoperationalprocesses,financialstewardship, and theaccuracyofpatientregistration,insuranceverification, andadmissiondocumentation, andcollaborateswithclinical,revenuecycle, andoperationalleadership to supportqualityimprovementinitiatives,coworkerdevelopment,technologyplanning, and theachievementofdepartmentalperformancegoals. The Managerisresponsiblefortheoversightandmaintenanceofend-userinformationsystemssupportingregistrationfunctions,includingparticipationinsystemenhancements,upgrades, andongoingoperationalmaintenancetoensurecontinuityandcompliance.

The Managerexercisesindependentjudgmentinmanagingday-to-daydepartmentaloperations,coworkerscheduling, and theexecutionofestablishedregistrationobjectivessevendaysaweek, 24hoursaday. What It Takes to be

Mustpossesstheskill,knowledgeandabilityessentialto thesuccessfulperformanceofassignedduties Must be fully versed in EMTALA and all regulatory requirements, including CMS,stateand local regulations Must be able to work in a fast paced and sensitive area Mustpossessdetailed knowledge of HPE and require Collaborates with physicians, nursing leadership, ancillary departments, and house supervisors to address capacity constraints Leads staff engagement, retention, and wellness initiatives in a highacuity, highstress environment. Develops and implements policy and procedures to meet the job requirements and ensures coworkers are trained and compliant withP&Ps.
