Because we welcome everyone to participate fully in worship, sacraments, and activities, we expect our employees to have that same Everyone is Welcome attitude. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with the community, coordinating activities, and managing administrative and financial tasks. You will provide support to the Pastor and the Church Council, coordinate facility usage, and help ensure smooth day-to-day office operations. Responsibilities Manage all administrative functions, including scheduling, correspondence, and record-keeping to support church operations. Coordinate and plan church events, meetings, and community outreach programs to foster engagement and participation. Oversee vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage supplies to ensure resources are available and expenses are controlled. Handle financial tasks such as bookkeeping, payroll processing using QuickBooks software, budgeting, and expense tracking to ensure fiscal responsibility. Maintain accurate records including files, attendance logs, and membership data. Manage front desk operations by answering a low volume of phone calls and welcoming visitors. Requirements Proven experience in office management or administrative roles with strong organizational skills. Proficiency with QuickBooks accounting software for bookkeeping and payroll functions. Experience in event planning, publicity, and schedule management to coordinate multiple activities seamlessly. Knowledge of vendor management practices including contract negotiation and supply procurement. Strong multitasking abilities with experience in calendar management, filing systems, and clerical tasks within an office environment.
