Hiring Agency Justice & Public Safety Cabinet | Department of Corrections Location 3111 Spurr Road Lexington, KY 40511 USA Description This position is for the new Medical Facility, located on the grounds of Blackburn Correctional Complex. The Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Adult Institutions operates 13 correctional facilities that house Kentucky's adult inmate population. The mission of DOC is to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth and to provide a safe, secure and humane environment for staff and offenders in carrying out the mandates of the legislative and judicial processes; and, to provide opportunities for offenders to acquire skills which facilitate non-criminal behavior. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for the administration, supervision and daily operation of the Business Office at Blackburn Correctional Complex. Supervises Employees in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, reports, budget and accounts payable. Supervises Employees in accounting of receipts and disbursements of funds for inmate accounts and other funds. Supervises employees responsible for property inventory and receiving Warehouse. Supervises employees responsible for the information system to include computers, phones, and television equipment repair. Prepares financial records, reports, and budgets. Advises Warden and Staff Regarding financial Policies and Procedures. Maintains ACA documents. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, public administration or a related field.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS
Two years of professional accounting, business administration, public administration, or related experience. Substitute
