Job Description

Position Summary The Business Operations Administrator role supports executive leadership across Clinical and Surgical Services through financial reporting, dashboard development, variance analysis, and operational data management. The position serves as a key liaison between Finance, HR, IT, and administrative teams, requiring strong Excel and analytical skills, adaptability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Candidates will be evaluated and placed at Level I or Level II based on experience, competencies, and alignment with career ladder criteria. Level I—
Business Operations Administrator I Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or closely related and 3 years of relevant experience
Salary Range:
$83,242-$133,193
Typical Responsibilities:
Supports operational effectiveness through data analysis, reporting, and process improvement efforts, while contributing to departmental workflows and cross-functional coordination. Develops, administers, and monitors departmental, restricted fund, foundation, and capital budgets while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. Partners with clinical and administrative leadership to implement, evaluate, and improve departmental programs, services, business plans, staffing models, and resource allocation. Coordinates physician administrative stipend tracking and reconciliation and supports ad hoc operational and financial projects aligned with departmental priorities. Develops and analyzes productivity, financial, operational, and quality improvement metrics, preparing reports and supporting process improvement initiatives. Serves as a liaison between the department and hospital support services and may supervise administrative staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and workflow coordination. Level II—
Business Operations Administrator II Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or closely related and at least 4 to 5 year's experience in analytical initiatives designed to facilitate operations/performance improvement in complex healthcare organizations. Experience with finance, knowledge management, and clinical operations are desirable.
Salary Range:
$93,538-$149,656
Typical Responsibilities:
Develops and delivers executive-level analyses, reports, dashboards, and presentations related to hospital operations, financial performance, budgeting, and strategic initiatives. Leads components of complex ad hoc operational and financial analyses, including defining approach, synthesizing findings, and presenting insights and recommendations to support leadership decision-making. Collaborates with Finance, HR, ISD, and operational leadership to improve reporting processes, data integrity, and system functionality while developing data extraction and reporting methodologies. Provides independent analysis of key departmental financial functions, including budgeting, capital tracking, and restricted funds, offering insights and recommendations to inform resource planning and decision-making. Partners with clinical and administrative leadership to implement and evaluate programs, services, and operational improvements aligned with organizational goals. May oversee administrative staff functions including hiring, training, performance management, workflow coordination, and employee development.

M-F, hybrid, 8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5
