Job Description Job Title Ophthalmology Operations Manager About the Department Join the Henry Ford Medical Group, one of Michigan's largest physician organizations, dedicated to delivering coordinated care across primary and specialty practices. Our Ophthalmology department is at the forefront of eye care services, combining clinical excellence with research and education. We are committed to advancing patient care through innovative practices and fostering a collaborative environment for our team and physicians. Role Overview As the Ophthalmology Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of our ambulatory Ophthalmology clinics, research initiatives, and teaching functions. You will support the Director in implementing strategic plans, managing financial operations, and representing the department in various internal and external committees. Your leadership will ensure the smooth execution of business plans and objectives, fostering a team-oriented environment. What You Will Do Assist the Director in implementing short- and long-term plans for the department. Develop financial and operational planning, including budgets and pro forma business plan analysis. Represent the department on internal and external committees. Manage and coordinate operational workgroups to achieve business objectives. Engage in community involvement to represent Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) and Henry Ford Medical Group (HFMG). Implement Business Unit initiatives to support HFMG¿s goals. Qualifications What You Will Need Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or four (4) years technical experience in eye care services. Minimum of two (2) years progressive leadership responsibility. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheets. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a healthcare setting. Experience as a Leader-Ophthalmic Tech Cert.
