Job Description

Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Business Assistant II for Division of Continuing Studies. This position reports to the Business Manager. Among the key duties of the position are the following: Provides comprehensive support for the business operations of the Division of Continuing Studies. Serves as the primary point of contact for purchasing and financial transactions, including preparing and processing requisitions, coordinating related administrative activities, and ensuring timely follow-up with university departments (e.g., Purchasing, Accounts Payable). Liaises with internal and external vendors, as well as division staff, and faculty, to support efficient and compliant business processes.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education/experience demonstrating knowledge and understanding of accounting, bookkeeping, office administration in a higher education setting.
