POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Support Supervisor will be responsible for assuring full and appropriate staffing of units while ensuring maximum unit utilization and efficiencies for all field employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate daily unit work schedule for field employees. Coordinate floater employee utilization and activation. Coordinate staffing/unit(s) for special events and standbys. Notify communications, the deployment planner, and the management team of lost unit hours and units placed out of service. Coordinate unit utilization and perform system status management in conjunction with communications personnel. Coordinate with the on-duty supervisor to maintain daily operational efficiencies. Monitor CAD software to identify and address potential inefficiencies. Assure full and appropriate staffing of units to minimize lost unit hours Code and enter attendance information and lost unit hours. Daily payroll verification and accurate processing of payroll and PTO data. Provide excellent customer service to field employees. Initiate and receive telephone calls. Perform or coordinate fair and impartial investigations of incidents, personnel matters, and complaints, and ensure their timely resolution. Evaluate personnel in the performance of their duties. Provide counseling, remedial training, or disciplinary measures as necessary. Address complaints and resolve problems. Assist in driving performance management. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Adherence to and compliance with information systems security is everyone's responsibility. It is the responsibility of every computer user to: Know and follow information systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training when offered. Report information systems security problems. Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations, counsel and provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel, and work to facilitate individual and team development that drives positive results. Champion affirmative action efforts in all aspects of employment, including but not limited to staffing, training, promotion, etc. Responsible for compliance with and enforcement of company/department policies and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED. Current CPR, EMT, or Paramedic
PALS-ACLS
certifications. Some advanced education preferred.
Experience:
3 years of EMS experience required.
Knowledge & Skills:
Previous administrative experience preferred, which includes experience working independently, prioritizing, managing multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Word and Excel). Must have strong organizational skills. Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including telephone call processing. Must be able to function as a field paramedic or EMT and perform direct patient-care activities. Must be able to drive an ambulance with a driving record in compliance with AMR policy regarding insurability. Thorough knowledge of system status management. Why Choose GMR?
