Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Environmental Administrative Coordinator to support environmental programs within a tribal government setting. Working closely with the Environmental Director, this position combines administrative support, project coordination, and public engagement to help implement and manage government environmental programs. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and passionate about supporting initiatives that positively impact the community. Located in Valley Center, CA. Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30
PM Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support including document preparation, data entry, filing, and correspondence
- Assist with coordination of environmental programs, including water, waste, and recycling initiatives
- Support tracking and documentation of environmental compliance, reports, and investigations
- Help develop outreach materials and assist with community education efforts
- Coordinate with internal teams on projects, presentations, and program updates
- Maintain contracts, records, and department files
- Assist with budget tracking and supply management
- Support scheduling, meetings, and departmental operations
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative or office experience
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Preferred:
- Experience or interest in environmental programs or public sector work
- Familiarity with environmental regulations or community outreach initiatives
