Day 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30), 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

Under the immediate supervision of the Rehab Clerical Services Supervisor, the Outpatient Rehab Coordinator employs advanced knowledge of information systems administration and clinical workflow with the Outpatient Rehab Unit.

Duties may include but are not limited to: completes arrangements for outpatient registrations ensuring that each admission conforms to the defined policies and procedures; insurance verification and authorization, scheduling of therapy patients and processing of rehab reports/records to physician offices; performs related tasks as required.

The Coordinator schedules & coordinates procedures for therapists assuring efficient patient flow and records management in accordance with established departmental & policies.

Interacts with infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an age-appropriate manner.

Must be sufficiently fluent in the English language to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position.

The degree of fluency required will vary depending upon the nature of the position.

Caregivers are expected to honor the Mission, Values, Vision and Promise and adhere to the Code of Conduct, policies and standards of their organization.

For direct patient care roles: Performs and maintains currency of essential competencies as required by specific area of hire and populations served.

All patients have appropriate authorization for therapy prior to the first appointment.

All therapy documents are complete, according to procedure including accurate and timely filing of documents in patient's EHR.

Provides therapists with completed information for new and returning patients on the day of appointments.
