About the
Job Summary of Position:
MedStar Health is seeking an Office Administration Coordinator in Hospital Medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. This position serves as a key administrative partner, helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of a busy department while supporting physicians, leadership, and staff. In this role, you'll coordinate schedules, meetings, special projects, communications, and departmental activities that directly contribute to exceptional patient care and operational excellence.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate department operations, meetings, events, and special projects.
  • Serve as a central point of contact for internal teams, providers, vendors, and external partners.
  • Manage calendars, correspondence, reports, records, and department communications.
  • Support leadership with administrative functions, data tracking, reporting, and project coordination.
  • Help maintain efficient workflows while ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and exceptional customer service.
Minimal Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Progressive administrative experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and work independently.
This position has a hiring range of USD $49,192.00 - USD $87,422.00 /Yr.
