The Administrative Coordinator will play a key role in helping to shape and support this next chapter. The Administrative Coordinator is a part-time, year-round leadership position responsible for the day-to-day operations of the school, front office management, and community-facing communication. Who You Are You are someone who: Is collaborative, flexible, and solutions-oriented Thrives in a fast-paced, multi-faceted role Is deeply aligned with progressive, experiential education Communicates clearly, warmly, and effectively with a wide range of audiences Is a big-picture thinker who can also manage details and follow-through Is confident navigating sensitive situations with care and professionalism Enjoys being part of a close-knit, mission-driven community Brings creativity, initiative, and a willingness to build and improve systems Key Responsibilities Operations & Administration Oversee daily operations of the school, including front office management Manage admissions and enrollment processes (inquiries, tours, applications, contracts, and follow-up) Maintain school records and internal data systems Coordinate building maintenance, vendor relationships, and physical plant needs Support and manage school technology platforms (Google Suite, website, databases, etc.) Coordinate after-school events and logistics Partner with parent committees and track Family Engagement Program participation Communications & Community Engagement Serve as a primary liaison for current and prospective families Lead school communications, including newsletters, website updates, and calendar management Support enrollment and retention through clear, mission-aligned messaging Oversee social media and digital storytelling efforts Help articulate and share NCCL's progressive philosophy with the broader community Leadership & Strategic Support Collaborate with the Administrative Team on school-wide planning and decision-making Support hiring, onboarding, and staff development processes Participate in strategic planning and implementation Help manage and resolve conflicts within the school community Serve as Board Secretary, maintaining records and supporting communication with the Board of Directors Act as a welcoming and knowledgeable ambassador for NCCL Working Relationships This role requires a high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, and collaboration. The Administrative Coordinator works closely with staff, families, prospective families, alumni, and community partners, and plays a key role in strengthening relationships across the school. Compensation & Benefits $26,000 to $37,000 depending upon schedule 401(k) with employer match Tuition remission & complimentary extended care Schedule & Expectations Part-time schedule during the school year (September-June), approximately 25-30 hours/week Reduced but ongoing responsibilities during summer and school breaks, approximately 5-10 hours/week Occasional evening and weekend commitments for events and meetings Training begins in early June 2026 Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Strong organizational and project management skills Excellent written and verbal communication Comfort with technology, data systems, and digital tools Experience in education or a mission-driven organization preferred Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with flexibility and care
