Primary Responsibilities:

Coordinate departmental accounting, financial, and data reporting functions and collaborate with the Executive Director of Special Education and Psychological Services on all financial and budgeting issues. Collaborate with the Executive Director of Special Education and Psychological Services to prepare and execute the annual budget. Coordinate the financial soundness of the department by advising the Executive Director of Special Education and Psychological Services on all financial and budgeting issues. Manage staff development budget and expenditures. Manage special funds budget, receipts, and expenditures. Prepare monthly budget summaries and review with stakeholders. Analyze and evaluate salaries and positions in relation to fiscal impact and district's policies. Serve as the grant administrator for the Department of Special Education and Psychological Services. Facilitate internal and external audit activities. Manage departmental federal grant submissions in a timely manner. Manage all accounts payable processes for the Department of Special Education and Psychological Services. Act as the liaison to vendors, ensuring all services/products procured are according to contractual specifications and payment rendered following district and industry standards including Internal Revenue Service (IRS) reporting guidelines. Coordinate employee reimbursements for job-related expenditures. Research and prepare billing and payment history reports. Manage all purchasing processes for the Department of Special Education and Psychological Services. Serve as the departmental procurement officer and liaison with the Business and Finance Purchasing, Property Management Department and Financial Services Department. Manage major asset procurement including ordering, request for quotes, and annual contractual services bid awards. Coordinate all purchasing card functions for the department including approving transactions, assigning funding sources, statement reconciliation, and preparing monthly reports. Serve as secondary contact for payroll and leave processing. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, negotiate stairs, climb ladders, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear, manipulate tools and small items with hands, and lift and transport up to 50 pounds over short distances. The employee is required to operate a motor vehicle in performance of duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. The employee may be subjected to a wide range of ambient temperature and humidity conditions while working on equipment under varying conditions including overhead work and work in confined spaces. Potential hazards of this position include working with electricity, working with heat and noise producing machinery and equipment, working on elevated equipment using ladders or other lifting devices, and use of chemicals and solvents.
