Job Description
The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana. - Serves as the agency's front-line support to the public by providing professional customer service and responding to inquiries regarding agency programs, policies, and services.
- Processes statewide correspondence in a timely and accurate manner to ensure efficient communication and case management.
- Updates case statuses and documents case notes accurately within electronic record systems in accordance with agency procedures.
- Assists members with completing self-service portal change reports and provides guidance on navigating online systems and processes.
- Responds to general inquiries in person, by telephone, and through email regarding program requirements, case status, and application or renewal procedures.
- Supports Medicaid outreach efforts by attending special events, distributing informational materials and promotional items, and providing basic program information to the public.
- Performs a variety of administrative support duties, including maintaining records, organizing documents, and assisting with daily office operations.
