Our Louisiana state parks feature first-class facilities including cabins and activities such as canoe trails, fishing, hiking, biking and more. Louisiana's historic sites transport visitors to a community dating 1,500 years before the arrival of European settlers and explorers of the Louisiana Purchase all the way through the turn of the 20th century. The purpose of this position is to perform essential duties in support of the operation of state park facilities statewide. An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies:

Following Policies and Procedures:
The ability to follow, reinforce, adapt, or develop policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal and state legal requirements, State Civil Service rules, and organizational policies. Minimum Qualifications Two years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION

Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties:
Answers multi-line telephone or switchboards, giving routine information and screening calls. Greets visitors. Receives, sorts, and distributes mail. Performs routine filing of documents and maintains filing systems. Copies and/or distributes correspondence, reports, and other documents. Receives cash, checks, credit cards, vouchers, or departmental charges from customers and/or employees in payment for goods or services. May operate various office equipment (such as a copy machine, calculator) that requires no special knowledge or previous training. May deliver and pick up various materials. Performs related duties as assigned.

This position will be filled as a part-time Classified WAE, limited to 1,245 working hours in a 12-month period. •Starting Hourly Pay varies, depending on experience.•
