Job Description
Office of Juvenile Justice Swanson Center for Youth-Monroe 4701 S Grand St., Monroe, LA 71202 https://ojj.la.gov/location/swanson-center-for-youth-monroe The Office of Juvenile Justice is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator 3 to support daily operations and the treatment team through high-quality clerical, communication, and documentation work. This role is ideal for someone who excels in organization, accuracy, and managing multiple administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. In this position, you'll prepare essential case documentation, maintain youth files, support communication across staff, and ensure accurate data entry. You'll also assist with sorting correspondence, proofreading outgoing materials, compiling reports, and keeping office supplies and equipment running smoothly. Your work helps maintain efficient operations and supports the treatment team's ability to deliver consistent, timely services. Provides clerical support to treatment team — types reclassifications, due process documents, progress reports, release certificates, notifications, and other correspondence; maintains youth case files. Manages communication flow — answers and routes calls, sorts daily correspondence, distributes memos, calendars, notices, and training information to staff. Maintains data in JETTS — enters initial custody information, reclassifications, and modifications; keeps accurate daily logs. Supports office operations — makes photocopies, compiles reports (medical, educational, recreational, PZT), orders supplies, and ensures office equipment functions properly. Maintains policy and regulation materials — updates institutional policies and departmental regulation books. Proofreads and reviews documents — checks outgoing letters and memos for accuracy and completeness. Performs additional administrative duties — assists with general clerical tasks as needed to support unit operations.Position-Specific Details:
