PAY RANGE
  • \$51.06
  • \$67.62 per hour SUMMARY
  • Responds immediately to critical events and provides leadership and follow-up during events such as code blue, code red, and code 100.
  • Adjusts staffing levels to ensure the highest level of patient care and evaluates staffing needs for current and upcoming shifts.
  • Functions as a clinical and administrative resource and provides consultation, education, and conflict resolution support to staff.
  • Advocates for patients, families, and staff and supports other departments to meet patient needs, including during non-operating hours.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Responds immediately to critical events and provides appropriate follow-up including staff education, documentation, and support.
  • Provides leadership and follow-up during critical events (code blue, code red, code 100).
  • Evaluates and adjusts staffing levels to meet patient care requirements.
  • Serves as clinical and administrative resource to nursing staff; provides consultation, advice, and education.
  • Assists staff with problem-solving and conflict resolution; mediates conflict and reports situations appropriately.
  • Completes employee performance evaluations by due dates.
  • Advocates for patients?, families?, and staff rights; intervenes on behalf of patients and staff.
  • Supports operations of other departments during non-operating hours and serves as an administrative resource as needed.

FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Exerts up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, or negligible force constantly to move objects.
  • Frequently reaches and handles.
QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EDUCATION
  • Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Current RN registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts required.
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Three to four years acute care experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in management and/or leadership role required.
MINIMUM LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS
  • AHA ACLS Certification required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
