Job Description

Administrative Coordinator - Douglas County Baseball Association (DCBA)
Part-Time:
up to 20 hours per week with seasonable fluctuations. some evening or weekend hours during peak baseball season.
Reports to:
DCBA Executive Director Compensation:
Yearly stipend spread over 12 months as a contract employee. Commensurate with experience and skills.
Work Location:
Work from home and Champion Carwash Field, Roseburg, Oregon. About DCBA Douglas County Baseball Association (DCBA) is a community-driven organization dedicated to preserving and expanding the rich tradition of baseball in Douglas County. DCBA manages Champion Carwash Field, the Newell Family Hitting Facility, and the stadium concession stand. The Association also operates the Summer American Legion teams for players aged 13-19, along with fall ball programs, tournaments, and other baseball events throughout the year. DCBA proudly partners with Umpqua Community College, Umpqua Valley Christian School, and Roseburg School District to provide high-quality opportunities for local athletes. The successful applicant will be well organized and detail oriented, a strong communicator, and have a genuine enthusiasm for youth development and the success of baseball in Douglas County. No knowledge of Baseball is required. Position Summary The Administrative Coordinator is a key part-time position responsible for supporting the daily administrative, financial, and operational activities of the Douglas County Baseball Association. Working under the direction of the Executive Director and in regular coordination with the DCBA Board of Directors, the Administrative Coordinator will help ensure smooth operations of facilities, programs, and community engagements throughout the year. Key Responsibilities Perform general administrative duties including correspondence, recordkeeping, and document management. Oversee basic financial and banking tasks such as deposits, expense tracking, and reconciliation of accounts in coordination with the Executive Director and Treasurer. Support sales and marketing activities, including promotional materials, social media updates, sponsorship outreach, and event communications. Assist in organizing DCBA events, tournaments, and fundraising initiatives. Provide regular updates and reports to the Executive Director and occasionally attend board meetings as needed. Qualifications Enthusiasm for supporting thriving youth in Douglas County. Strong organizational and multi-tasking abilities with attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Basic skills in office applications. Customer service mindset and ability to work collaboratively with volunteers, board members, and community partners. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Interest or experience in baseball, youth sports, or community programming preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Job requires sitting, standing, and moving around the baseball facility and partner facilities. Ability to work in outdoor and indoor environments at Legion Field and related DCBA facilities.
