Full-time Adoption Supervisor Location/Schedule:
Office located in Hendersonville, NC; Full-Time. Typical hours are 1st shift, Monday-Friday, though the schedule is flexible based on client/family needs. This role is eligible for hybrid work location (combination of remote and in-office work). Travel to home locations in various areas/counties is expected, with an agency vehicle or mileage reimbursement available.
Your Impact:
As an Adoption Supervisor , you play a critical role in advancing Crossnore Communities for Children's mission of the way to hope and healing by leading the day-to-day work that helps children achieve safe, permanent homes. You will supervise and coach adoption staff, monitor caseloads to ensure timely progress toward permanency, and step in to support complex cases and crisis situations. This role also drives quality and compliance by overseeing documentation, licensing standards, and best practices across the program. Through your leadership, you ensure children and families receive consistent, trauma-informed care that leads to lasting stability and resilience.
Hiring Range :
$55,500 to $67,000 annually
  • Compensation is based on experience and qualifications.
Candidates who meet only the minimum requirements can expect to start at the beginning of the range, while those with additional and relevant experience and/or advanced skills may be considered for higher starting pay within the range.

Paid Holidays Education/Experience:
Meets requirements for a Qualified Professional which are: Master's degree in a human services or related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year supervised clinical experience working with children and families; or Bachelor's degree in a human services field and two years' experience with the current population; or Bachelor's degree in a non-human services field and four years' experience with the current population 3+ years experience providing care management, case management, or care coordination in Adoption services. 2+ years supervisory experience preferred, especially managing foster care and adoptions program staff. NTDC train the trainer preferred. NC State Adoptions training preferred. Skills & Competencies To succeed as an Adoption Supervisor, you will bring a strong blend of leadership, clinical expertise, and operational skill: Demonstrates strong knowledge of foster care and adoption services, including applicable state regulations and best practices. Effectively supervises, coaches, and develops staff while holding individuals accountable to performance and compliance standards. Applies trauma-informed care principles and crisis intervention strategies when supporting children, families, and staff. Communicates clearly and professionally, building strong relationships with families, team members, and community partners. Manages multiple priorities with strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment. Uses critical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate complex cases and program challenges. Ensures accuracy and compliance through strong attention to detail and quality assurance practices. Demonstrates cultural competency and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of service delivery. Job Duties & Responsibilities The Adoption Supervisor leads both people and process to ensure high-quality, compliant adoption services: Supervises daily operations of adoption staff, monitors caseloads, and ensures timely progress toward permanency goals. Provides ongoing supervision, coaching, and performance management to support staff development and accountability. Oversees compliance with licensing standards, documentation requirements, and audit readiness across all cases and files. Supports admissions, assessments, and placement processes to ensure appropriate matches for children and families. Responds to crises with clear, trauma-informed leadership and coordinates follow-up actions with internal teams. Collaborates with leadership to implement program goals, improve processes, and support overall program performance. Partners with training staff to support foster and adoptive parent training, recruitment, and community outreach efforts. Monitors data, outcomes, and program performance to inform decision-making and continuous quality improvement.
