Job Description

Internal Posting:
Current Midlands Technical College Employees Only•The Administrative Coordinator has responsibility for the overall administrative coordination and business management support for the Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA), the SA Council, and the Executive Council offices. Plans and coordinates meetings and serves as liaison to the MTC Commission Student and College Relations Committee, and on behalf of the VPSA responds to inquires from legislator, county council members, school district officials, state agency director, and other public officials. Manages and oversees the administrative and support activities for the Vice President for Student Affairs (VPSA) and the Student Affairs (SA) Division. Coordinates develops, and manages projects, reports research. and correspondences on behalf of the VPSA for the Commission, President, SA Council, and SA Division. Serves as secondary support in managing SA budget operations. Manages daily tasks for the VPSA to include: coordinating calendar. appointments, completing work orders, arranging travel and completing expense requests. ordering supplies, and maintaining professional organization memberships. Organizes and maintains confidential and electronic files. Coordinates logistics and serves as liaison to the MTC Commission Student and College Relations Committee, including coordinating meetings and agendas with appropriate college administrators and staff. Attends SA Council meetings and coordinates schedules and agendas. Manages and ensures coverage of the VPSA front office. Greets serves and directs all guests. Answers phones, assists. and delivers messages to staff. Assists with special events and projects. 5. Performs other duties as assigned. This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Beltline Campus. A high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services or a bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience. Bachelor's degree plus two (2) experience years in relevant business experience management. in business public management, public administrative services; or an associate's degree plus four (4) years in relevant experience in business management, public administration or administrative services.
