Provost General Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in related field. Four years' relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. Experience in Higher Education is desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Performs advanced administrative and operational support to the Office of the Provost and the Polytechnic College. Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only): Provides front office coverage and comprehensive administrative support for the office of the provost. Supports the Vice Provost for Academic and Career Pathways. with scheduling, travel, and other administrative support as needed. Manages budget operations, including handling P-Card purchases, Bearkat Buy processes, Aramark orders, memberships, monitoring expenses, and overseeing polytechnic college budgets, accounts, and expenditures. Assists with events, programs, and projects. Reviews, revises, and interprets policies and procedures, and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Attends meetings, takes and maintains accurate notes, and prepares, reviews, revises, and distributes correspondence and official documents. Serves as a liaison with university departments, students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external stakeholders, and performs other related duties as assigned.
