Position Summary The Administrative Coordinator-CRNA ( Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) Program is responsible for providing administrative support to the CRNA Program Administration, faculty members and students. The Administrative Coordinator-CRNA Program reports to CRNA Program Director. Job Duties Job Duty Name Essential Job Functions Description of Job Duties Leads, manages and coordinates all administrative operations to optimize the CRNA program, school and university initiatives (enrollment, recruitment and retention of students). Collaborates with key personnel within the Dean's suite to optimize program operations. Meets regularly with CRNA Program Administrators to provide initial consultation, strategic planning and budgetary insights. Coordinates with essential UIW departments to provide support for students (IT, Student Health Services, Financial Aid, Admissions, Billing and Simulation Nursing Team). Evaluates and manages the needs of the program for process improvements. Communicates timely with students, departments, and university officials. Oversees academic program integrity including correspondence for student admissions, progression, academic probation and dismissals across three geographical locations (San Antonio, Tyler and Corpus Christi). Ensures student onboarding, credentialing, compliance with background checks, drug screening and Sentry MD requirement. Assists with admission articulations for candidate screening. Collects, manages and analyzes data on enrollment, retention, revenue, GPAs, etc. for annual program reports/assessments and program reviews. Maintains and ensures compliance with program, university policies and accreditation standards (Council on Accreditation Nurse Anesthesia and CCNE). Manages vendor contracts, faculty reimbursements for travel expenses, and marketing and branding for the program. Maintains CRNA program repository for software contracts and documents. Creates interview, orientation, info sessions, and graduation event schedules. Assists with budget, as assigned. Participates as needed in admissions committee and executive committee meetings; provides minutes and agendas. Creates an environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge Skills and Abilities Ability to effectively learn and apply certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNA) scope of practice and professional requirements and national standards. Excellent interpersonal communication skills and team collaboration skills. Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams or equivalent. Ability to effectively learn and use web conferencing tools. Ability to actively engage with students, faculty and staff members. Ability to conduct respectful relationships with students, faculty and staff members. Ability to work collegially and productively within the university community. Ability to conduct presentations. Ability to effectively learn and apply requirements of grant funding disbursements and financial aid. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures. Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, School and regulatory agencies. Required Education Associate's Degree or 60 college hours. Required Work Experience Four (4) years of administrative experience in a complex office environment. Note that up to 2 years of additional education will be considered for up to 2 years of experience. Preferred Qualifications Advanced computer skills, communication and organizational skills. Critical thinking and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Knowledge of academic settings. Presentation literacy. Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations Must have a valid driver's license, driving record that is insurable by UIW insurance carrier, and be at least 21 years of age, as required to drive for UIW. Work Hours Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with extended hours as needed, especially in the planning and execution of events, to meet departmental goals. Physical Demands Ability to lift up to 15lbs for table set-up/tear-down at events, as well as carry office supplies. Ability to reach overhead, bend, squat to retrieve office/events materials. Ability to push/pull event carts holding up to 50 lbs. Ability to actively engage in events for extended periods of time. Ability to regularly move about campus and event venues to actively engage faculty, staff, and potential/current residents, as well as attend meetings on and off campus.
