Full Job Description Location:
Providence Office 6701 Airport Blvd, Mobile, AL 36608 Cardiology Associates is seeking an experienced Medical Collections Specialist to join our growing healthcare administrative team in Mobile, Alabama. The ideal candidate will have previous medical collections and billing experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced medical office environment. This position is responsible for communicating with patients and insurance carriers regarding outstanding balances, processing payments, managing payment plans, and supporting daily accounts receivable and collections operations. This is a full-time, day shift position with no weekends and paid holidays off . Schedule & Benefits Monday-Friday Day shift only No weekends Paid holidays Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Paid sick leave 401(k) with company match Life insurance AD&D insurance Flexible spending account (FSA) Free parking Competitive compensation Responsibilities Communicate with patients regarding outstanding account balances Collect payments and process phone payments securely and accurately Establish and manage patient payment plans Handle rotating phone duties regarding patient accounts and insurance inquiries Work with insurance carriers, collection agencies, and vendors regarding account resolution Maintain accurate account documentation and patient financial records Support medical billing and accounts receivable processes Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations and guidelines Provide professional customer service while handling sensitive financial matters Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of medical collections, medical billing, or healthcare revenue cycle experience required Strong understanding of medical billing and patient collections processes Experience handling patient accounts and insurance communications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced medical office environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required Previous cardiology or specialty practice experience preferred Work Location Mobile, Alabama - Providence Location
