We serve as both collection agency and law firm, working with rapidly growing companies in technology, construction, transportation, and professional services. What You'll Do As a Legal Collector, you'll handle complex commercial accounts that require both collection expertise and legal analysis skills:
Collection Activities :
Contact commercial debtors via phone, email, and mail to secure payments and negotiate settlements
Legal Analysis:
Evaluate claims for litigation potential, analyzing credit applications, corporate structures, personal guarantees, and Secretary of State records
Account Management:
Maintain detailed records, process credit memos, and manage account databases
Compliance:
Ensure all activities meet federal and state debt collection regulations Required Experience & Skills Collections experience mandatory - minimum 1 year in debt collection, accounts receivable, or related field Business-to-business collection experience strongly preferred High school diploma/GED required; associate's/bachelor's degree preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management Strong analytical skills for evaluating legal claims Excellent communication and negotiation abilities Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Location & Schedule Full-time, in-office position in Sherman Oaks, CA Reliable transportation and ability to commute daily required Standard business hours
