Job Description:

DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY!

We have worked with our current client for the past 15 years and are looking for a Collections Specialist for a

DIRECT HIRE

position in their Romulus, MI location.

Collections Specialist Responsibilities:

Contact customers for collections Investigate and resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and billing discrepancies. Maintain accurate records of all contact attempts, payments, and collection efforts. Accurately process payments received and handle any necessary refunds. Prepare and present reports on collection activity and progress. Maintain professionalism and customer service standards while handling collections. Identify and track accounts with overdue payments. Contact customers via phone, email, or mail to discuss overdue payments and encourage timely repayment.

Salary:

$20-22/hr

Hours:

8:00am- 5:00pm Monday- Friday (can work from home 1 day a week)

Collections Specialist Skills:

Previous collections experience Experience with ERP systems, RFMS preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to accurately track and record collections activity and ensure all customer accounts are up-to-date and properly documented. Proficient in using data and reporting tools to track collection metrics, identify trends, and implement improvements in the collection process. Skilled in de-escalating tense situations and handling difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy.
