Job Description

Universal Logistics is a leading provider of customized transportation and logistics solutions, offering a comprehensive suite of services including transportation, value-added, intermodal, and specialized services utilized throughout entire supply chains. This position is fully onsite Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm. Universal Logistics is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Administrative Support Clerk to join our growing team. This role is responsible for supporting invoicing, collections, account inquiries, and customer service functions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of issues. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who enjoys investigating discrepancies, working collaboratively with internal and external partners, and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Review, audit, and process customer invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness. Investigate discrepancies and work with customers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve billing and account issues. Analyze shipping documents, invoices, and supporting documentation to verify information and meet customer requirements. Research and resolve issues that impact invoice processing, collections, and payment activities. Communicate professionally with customers and employees at all levels of the organization via phone, email, web portals, and other communication channels. Maintain accurate records and documentation while adhering to company procedures and industry requirements. Collaborate with internal teams to identify root causes of issues and implement solutions to improve processes. Support departmental goals by managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
