Job Description

Job Overview Meyer, Njus, Tanick, Linder & Robbins, PA is seeking an experienced collections call agent to work in a small law office setting. Call agents are responsible for receiving incoming and making outgoing calls to consumers as part of the collections process.
PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Contact consumers, third parties, and attorneys to negotiate repayment of consumer debts Maintain queue of accounts with multiple phone calls a week and other scheduled reviews Develop technical knowledge in the legal and collection processes to effectively communicate with consumers, third parties, and attorneys Maintain knowledge of and perform tasks in accordance with Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, State, and other applicable federal standards and regulations Record information regarding the financial status of the consumers and status of collection efforts in company's personalized software Handle multiple inbound and outbound calls on a daily basis Calculate percentages and payments quickly and accurately using a calculator Perform light skip tracing duties Draft correspondence to consumers, third parties, and attorneys Be familiar with and adhere to all company and department polices & procedures Complete projects and tasks as assigned by Call Center Management, Attorneys, and General Manager Meet collection goals and productivity standards established by Call Center Management
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
At least one year of collections experience, preferably in a legal setting Knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other applicable laws Ability to listen and empathize with consumers' situations Exceptional communication skills (oral and written) Capable of working independently and adapting to a fast-changing environment Strong attention to detail and ability to complete job duties with a high degree of accuracy Ability to work with members at all levels of the organization Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills Problem solving and critical thinking Basic math skills Ability to talk and type on the phone simultaneously Ability to reach monthly goals set by Call Center Management Capable of following instruction, seeking appropriate approvals, and complying with policies and procedures Previous experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Maintain a high level of confidentiality Able to pass a criminal background check High School Diploma What We Offer Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Personal time off 401(k) retirement plan Fitness center
