Whether you have years of collection experience or are completely new to the industry, we're looking for people who are willing to learn, work hard, and be part of a team. We Work as a Team At many collection agencies, collectors are handed accounts, given a goal, and expected to figure out the rest on their own. That's not how we operate. At Martelli & Associates, we work together as a TEAM . Management and experienced collectors are available to help with difficult accounts, provide coaching, improve negotiation skills, and help newer collectors learn how to successfully close accounts. If you're new to collections, you won't simply be thrown on the phones and left to sink or swim. We invest time into training and developing our employees because we want everyone here to have the opportunity to earn a bonus check. One Goal for Everyone — $10,600 Per Month We also do our monthly goals differently. At many agencies, your collection goal can increase based on your hourly wage, meaning higher-paid employees may have to collect considerably more before they ever qualify for a bonus. At Martelli & Associates, everyone has the same monthly cash collection goal: $10,600. Your hourly wage does not determine your collection goal. Once you exceed $10,600 in total cash collected for the month, you earn a 20% bonus on the amount you collect above your goal.

Example:

If you collect $15,000 for the month: $15,000 − $10,600 = $4,400 over goal 20% of $4,400 = $880 bonus That's an $880 bonus on top of your regular hourly pay. The more you produce above your goal, the more you can earn. Why Our Collectors Stay We understand that you may find collection positions advertising a higher hourly rate. Our compensation structure is intentionally different. At Martelli & Associates, we aren't looking for employees who want to rely solely on an hourly paycheck. We want motivated people who see their hourly wage as their base pay and their performance bonus as the opportunity to significantly increase what they earn. What You'll Do:

Make outbound and receive inbound calls regarding assigned accounts Communicate with consumers regarding outstanding accounts Negotiate payments and payment arrangements within company guidelines Work alongside management and fellow collectors to resolve accounts Maintain accurate account notes and documentation Perform account research and skip tracing when necessary Work toward daily and monthly collection goals Follow company procedures, approved scripts, and applicable collection laws and regulations
