We represent leading merchant cash advance ("MCA") providers and alternative lenders in matters ranging from early-stage collections and negotiated resolutions to litigation, judgment enforcement, and UCC remedies. Led by Harvard Law School graduates, our firm blends deep legal expertise with technology innovation to build a scalable, results-oriented collections practice. Commercial Debt Collections Specialist :
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Debt Collections Specialist to join our legal and operations team. This role will focus on direct outreach to debtors and recipients of UCC § 9-406 notices, driving early resolution and positioning matters for successful negotiation and recovery. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, persuasive, and skilled at balancing firmness with professionalism in collections outreach.
Responsibilities :
Conduct proactive outreach to debtors to discuss outstanding obligations and explore potential resolutions. Follow up with recipients of UCC § 9-406 notices to ensure acknowledgment and compliance. Negotiate payment plans, partial settlements, or other resolution structures, escalating to attorneys as appropriate for final negotiation. Document all outreach, responses, and progress updates in the CRM, maintaining accurate and timely records. Collaborate with attorneys and operations team members to ensure seamless case handoffs. Provide input on outreach strategies and communication tactics to maximize recovery rates.
Qualifications :
3+ years of experience in collections, commercial debt recovery, or related financial collections. Strong communication and negotiation skills; proven ability to influence outcomes while maintaining professionalism. Familiarity with UCC § 9-406 and collections processes strongly preferred. Experience working with CRMs, case management tools, or debt collection platforms. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple outreach campaigns simultaneously. Resilient, persistent, and able to remain calm and professional under pressure.
