Full Job Description Collections Specialist Job Description:

Our company is looking for an experienced and motivated collections specialist to join our dynamic collections team. We are looking for a collections specialist to assist with the collection of outstanding debts. The collections specialist will contact clients and inform them of their missed payments, negotiate payment plans, and ensure payments are made as soon as possible. The role requires someone with the ability to balance between maintaining trustful relationships and guaranteeing timely payments. You should possess outstanding communication and negotiation skills, as well as in-depth knowledge of laws and policies related to debt collection. A skilled Collections Specialist should be able to reduce company losses by encouraging customers to pay their overdue bills.

Collections Specialist Responsibilities:

 Reviewing the company debtor list.  Contacting customers and informing them of their past due accounts.  Advising customers on their payment options and suggesting methods of payments.  Negotiating suitable payment plans.  Writing final notice warnings to customers when payments are not being made.  Instituting legal action when customers fail to pay their debt.  Supervise assigned accounts to identify unresolved debts.  Follow-up with clients on overdue accounts.  Research and implement effective collection techniques.  Perform all administrative duties related to ensuring office efficiency.  Respond to client account queries in a timely and professional manner.

Collections Specialist Requirements:

 Previous experience working as a Collections Specialist (MCA Experience a Plus)  Excellent negotiating skills.  Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.  Familiarity with state debt collection laws.  Knowledge of payment plans and accounting procedures.  Knowledge of office and accounting software.  Patience and resilience.  A minimum of 2 year's experience in a similar role.  Strong understanding of collection processes.  Highly-skilled in negotiation.  In-depth knowledge of laws and policies related to debt collection.  Good administrative skills.
