This position provides hands-on leadership and support to collection representatives responsible for resolving outstanding healthcare accounts and securing payment accurately and promptly. The Collections Team Lead will monitor team performance, productivity, and quality; coach and develop team members; assist with escalated accounts and operational issues; and help ensure all collection activities are performed in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, client requirements, and ARstrat policies and procedures.

$18.50 per hour + Eligible for up to a $750 monthly bonus based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support the day-to-day activities of a healthcare collections team. Monitor individual and team collection performance, productivity, quality, and established goals. Ensure performance and service-level expectations are consistently met or exceeded. Coach, mentor, and provide ongoing feedback to collection representatives. Assist with monthly employee 1:1s, performance discussions, and development plans. Review accounts and assist staff with complex or escalated collection issues. Identify and escalate issues or service failures that could impact collections, clients, or daily operations. Support staff with collection systems, account workflows, and telephony-related needs. Ensure appropriate and timely follow-up on assigned healthcare accounts. Partner with clients and internal departments to resolve account and operational concerns. Monitor employee adherence to established collection policies, procedures, workflows, and client requirements. Recommend and assist with implementing process improvements to increase collections, productivity, quality, and efficiency. Build and maintain a high-performing team focused on accountability, results, professionalism, and quality service. Partner with Education and Development to identify training needs and maintain a knowledgeable workforce. Maintain knowledge of applicable healthcare and collection requirements, client compliance programs, and company policies. Ensure collection activities comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and ARstrat policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Previous collections experience required. Healthcare, medical collections, patient accounts, accounts receivable, or revenue cycle experience strongly preferred. Previous Team Lead, Senior Collector, or supervisory experience preferred. Experience working in a high-volume collections or call center environment preferred. Demonstrated ability to meet and help a team achieve collection, productivity, and quality goals. Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills. Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to handle escalated accounts and difficult conversations professionally. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Comfortable working with multiple computer systems, account management platforms, and telephony systems. Ability to work effectively with team members, leadership, clients, patients/consumers, and other internal and external partners. Knowledge of healthcare collections and applicable compliance requirements is preferred.
