Job Description

Our client is a long-term care pharmacy that provides comprehensive medication management services to healthcare facilities and senior residents. They focus on improving medication outcomes through 24/7 service, compliance packaging, and delivery support across Arkansas and surrounding states.
Salary:
$17.50-$20.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Full time, 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM 8-hour shift, Monday-Friday One Saturday per month
Job Summary:
Billing Specialist role within a long-term care pharmacy focused on supporting insurance eligibility, resident account management, and accurate billing processes. The position requires strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Verify patient/resident insurance eligibility and coverage details Process updates and changes to resident profiles accurately and efficiently Assist with admitting new residents into appropriate nursing facilities in a timely manner Research, troubleshoot, and resolve billing discrepancies and client account issues Communicate with patients, facilities, and insurance providers as needed Ensure accurate data entry and maintain up-to-date billing records Deliver exceptional customer service in all interactions
Qualifications:
Previous medical billing experience required (claims, denials, rejections, payment posting) Experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations Strong knowledge of CPT coding and EOB interpretation High school diploma or GED required (college degree preferred) Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy Strong communication and phone etiquette skills Highly organized, punctual, and adaptable team player Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced healthcare environment
