Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Follow Up Associate to join our team on a contract basis in Roseville, California. In this role, you will work closely with patients, government agencies, and third-party payers to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement processes. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills to manage billing, claims, and collections while adhering to established procedures and performance standards.
Responsibilities:
- Review, correct, and submit claims to payers for accurate processing.
- Follow up on unpaid accounts by identifying and initiating appropriate collection actions.
- Resolve claim denials and appeals by gathering and analyzing necessary information.
- Calculate and process write-offs, debit/credit adjustments, and other account reconciliations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate coding and charge information for claims.
- Maintain detailed records of communications with patients, payers, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor accounts to meet or exceed productivity and quality performance standards.
- Provide general office support and assist with other administrative duties as needed.
- Stay updated on relevant billing and reimbursement procedures, policies, and regulations. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in medical billing, collections, or related fields is highly desired.
- Familiarity with claim administration, medical coding, and reimbursement processes.
- Strong ability to calculate and process adjustments such as write-offs and credits.
- Proficient in using billing software and other relevant office tools.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, payers, and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Commitment to adhering to company policies, including vaccination and compliance requirements.
