Account Analyst United WestLabs - 3.1 Santa Ana, CA Job Details Full-time $26 - $33 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications Research High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Account Analyst | Full Time On-Site/Remote hybrid | located in Santa Ana, CA and Tacoma, WA Position Summary The Account Analyst is responsible for resolving insurance claim issues, recovering outstanding accounts receivable, researching denials, pursuing appeals, and ensuring accurate reimbursement for laboratory services. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently to maximize collections and reduce aging balances. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Review and resolve insurance denials and rejections. Conduct payer research and follow-up activities. Submit appeals and supporting documentation. Analyze EOBs, remittance advices, and payer correspondence. Identify root causes of billing and reimbursement issues. Monitor assigned accounts receivable inventory. Work no-response claims and unresolved claim statuses. Research eligibility, COB, and authorization issues. Document account activity thoroughly. Participate in revenue recovery projects. Maintain productivity and quality standards. Prepare reports and trend analyses as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma required; Associate's degree preferred. 2+ years medical billing or revenue cycle experience preferred. Knowledge of insurance claims processing and denial management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with billing systems and payer portals preferred.
