Job Description

  • Submits accurate claims to various payers on a daily basis using our practice management system.
  • Submits claims manually on a weekly basis to Medicaid through keying data on Florida portal.
  • Ensures payments are received timely by completing collection efforts and calls to include checking on weekly payments.
  • Reviews A/R aging reports and alerts management to any large balances.
  • Engages in collection efforts of denials, or erroneously adjusted payments.
  • Enters patient responsibility into Quickbooks and submits to parents for payment on a monthly basis, runs credit card of file.
  • Maintains credit card on file for clients with commercial insurance.
  • Processes payments through Step Up for Students scholarship.
  • Submits appeals for denials as appropriate.
  • Assists providers with converting session in the practice management system.
  • Troubleshoots issues with session conversions for providers.
  • Answers billing questions from clients and company stakeholders.
  • Ensures EFT and ERA enrollment for each payer.
  • Prepares various billing and accounting related reports for President.
  • Familiarizes oneself with all insurance company requirements.
  • Obtains authorizations for clients every six months by submitting requests to insurance company.
  • Other duties as assigned.
