Full Job Description Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze medical documentation to ensure accurate coding and billing
  • Assign appropriate medical codes using ICD-10 coding systems
  • Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on unpaid or denied claims
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in medical coding and billing regulations
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing or related field
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, coding, and billing procedures
  • Knowledge of medical office systems and software applications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with AdvancedMD EHR, EDIinsight, MicroMD PM, and Exscribe EHR a plus
