We proudly serve patients and families across generations, backgrounds, and insurance plans while delivering attentive care in a busy, fast-paced practice. We are currently rebuilding and strengthening our team with individuals who value accountability, consistency, and professionalism. Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist who can also assist with basic bookkeeping and billing coordination. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with patients while supporting the financial and administrative operations of a healthcare practice. This is a team-dependent role where reliability, organization, and follow-through are essential. Key Responsibilities Front Desk & Patient Support Greet and check in patients in a friendly, professional manner Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage provider calendars Verify patient information and maintain accurate records Handle incoming and outgoing communication (phone, email, fax) Administrative & Office Support Maintain organized filing systems and ensure HIPAA compliance Support daily office operations and team workflow Bookkeeping & Financial Tasks Perform daily balancing Prepare and make bank deposits Enter invoices and expenses Record payments and maintain financial records Assist with account reconciliation Billing Coordination Communicate with third-party billing services regarding claims and payments Provide documentation and follow up on discrepancies Answer patient billing questions in a clear and professional manner Qualifications Basic understanding of bookkeeping or accounting processes Experience with office software (scheduling systems, Excel, QuickBooks or similar) Strong communication and customer service skills High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information Preferred Qualifications Experience in a medical or healthcare office Familiarity with medical billing or working with external billing companies Knowledge of HIPAA regulations Schedule & Expectations Scheduling hours:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday:
8:00 AM•5:30
PM Thursday:
8:00 AM•1:00
PM Saturday:
8:00 AM•1:00 PM Employees may be scheduled slightly before or after patient hours for opening/closing duties Saturday availability is required (minimum 2 per month) Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential Important Expectations Before Applying This role requires reliability and accountability —attendance directly impacts patient care and team operations Schedules are set and expected to be followed Frequent call-offs, last-minute schedule changes, or inconsistent availability are not compatible with this role We are building a team that supports one another through consistency, professionalism, and follow-through Why Join Us?
