Job Description

The Village of Hainesville, located at 100 N. Hainesville Rd, Hainesville, IL 60030, seeks to fill a part time position, minimum of 20hrs/week to perform utility billing, assist with Treasurer duties and various clerical functions. Experience with Municipal utility billing and/or accounting experience is highly preferred. Other billing experience will be considered. This position is responsible for financial, administrative and clerical work involving all aspects of water billing, including entering payments, payment arrangements, collections, processing billing, reports and mailings among other office duties. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, able to work independently and be able to multitask. Should also be a self-starter and willing to take command of this position. There is ample potential for growth and advancement. The starting salary is $22.00 per hour based on experience. The hours for this position are Monday-Thursday 10:00 a.m

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in utility billing, accounting, or finance is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze financial data accurately.
  • Proficiency in math and understanding of bookkeeping principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.
