Role Description The Trainee Payment Posting role is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, OH. In this role, the trainee will learn to review and post insurance and patient payments into the billing system, reconcile payment batches, and ensure accurate allocation of funds to the appropriate accounts. Daily tasks may include verifying explanation of benefits (EOBs), identifying posting discrepancies, assisting with refunds or adjustments, and escalating complex issues to senior team members as needed. The trainee will collaborate with the revenue cycle team, follow established posting procedures, maintain data accuracy, and protect patient confidentiality. The position offers structured training, mentorship, and exposure to end-to-end revenue cycle processes to support professional growth in healthcare RCM. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry. Candidates should possess basic knowledge of medical billing or a strong interest in learning payment posting and healthcare revenue cycle processes. Candidates should possess solid computer skills, including proficiency with spreadsheets, practice management or billing software, and general office applications. Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with team members and respond to internal inquiries clearly and professionally. Candidates should possess good organizational and time management abilities, including the capacity to prioritize tasks and meet daily posting deadlines. Relevant education such as a high school diploma or equivalent is required; coursework or certification in healthcare administration, accounting, or related fields is a plus. Ability to learn quickly, follow standardized procedures, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and compliance is beneficial.
