Job Description:
Review patient care reports (PCRs) and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness Prepare and submit ambulance claims to Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance carriers, and private payers Apply appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes specific to ambulance services Verify patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and authorization requirements Monitor claim status and follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims Analyze and resolve claim denials, underpayments, and billing discrepancies Post payments, adjustments, and contractual allowances accurately Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and internal departments regarding billing inquiries Maintain compliance with HIPAA, Medicare guidelines, and payer-specific billing rules Meet productivity, accuracy, and timeliness standards established by the department Assist with audits, appeals, and special billing projects as assigned Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of medical billing experience Knowledge of medical billing regulations, insurance processes, and reimbursement methodologies Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding Proficiency with billing software and electronic claim submission systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Preferred Qualifications Experience billing Medicare and Medicaid claims Certification such as CPB, CPC, or equivalent (preferred but not required) Experience working in a high-volume billing environment Employee Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance Short-term disability 401k plans Weekly pay is available every Friday Employee discount progra ms Click 'Apply Now' to submit your application, and a recruiter w ill con nect with you s oon a bout any questions you have and to get you started on this new jour ney.
