We are looking for a dedicated Medical Billing and Posting Clerk to join our team and help us continue our mission of providing outstanding healthcare services.
Job Description:
This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of medical billing and coding regulations, as well as excellent customer service skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for submitting electronic medical claims, payment posting, following-up on unpaid claims to resolve discrepancies, answer billing phone calls, and other duties as assigned. The position requires a candidate with at least 1 yr. coding and denial resolution experience. ENT and/or professional surgical coding experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies. Post payments, adjustments, and denials to patient accounts. Reconcile and balance accounts receivable records. Follow up on unpaid or rejected claims and take necessary actions to resolve issues. Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for services rendered. Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve billing inquiries. Maintain accurate and organized patient billing records. Assist with month-end closing processes and reports.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 1 years of experience in medical billing and coding. Proficiency with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Strong understanding of medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
