Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable/Payroll Analyst is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures related to accounts payable and payroll. This role is high volume and requires a strong understanding of financial processes, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
Take a lead role in the accounts payable process, from invoice receipt to payment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Processing invoices, matching them against purchase orders and contracts, verifying accuracy, and coding them appropriately for entry into the accounting system. Managing vendor relationships, including responding to inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate vendor information. Reconciling vendor statements, identifying and resolving any inconsistencies. Generating weekly/monthly payment reports and processing various payment methods (checks, wires, ACH). Process month-end closing activities, including reconciling accounts payable accounts to the general ledger and preparing related reports. Ensuring compliance with company policies, internal controls, and relevant tax regulations (e.g., 1099 filings). Participating in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis. Identifying and recommending process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounts payable function.
Payroll Responsibilities:
Assist in workflow to insure payroll is processed accurately and timely. Assist in biweekly payroll close, month-end close and year-end process Assist with the audit of payroll, time and attendance, and accounts payable systems. Assist Manager on process improvements and technology-driven improvements in both payroll and accounts payable through new technology or process that reduces waste, increases productivity, and improves service level.

Education:
High School Diploma, Associates Degree Preferred Experience :
4 years, high volume
Software/Hardware:
Outlook, Excel, and Word. Meditech and Kronos a bonus This position is located on-site in West Bridgewater.
