This is a great opportunity to join one of the best OB/GYN practices in the area and a dynamic team. Capital Women's Care is a 150+ group of OB/GYNs located throughout Greater Washington, DC, Northern Virginia and Maryland. The Billing Specialist is a detail-oriented person responsible for managing the billing process in an accurate and timely manner. This position will be responsible for addressing any billing inquiries from patients and insurance companies. Responsibilities Process and submit insurance claims accurately and in a timely manner. Receive and post payments from patients accurately. Responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage and eligibility. Communicate with patients regarding billing questions and payment options. Responsible for maintaining billing records logs and documentation. Collaborate with Practice Administrator and Clinical team to ensure proper coding of services. Assist in the preparation of billing reports and audits as needed.

Requirements Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred education:

Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a medical office with

CPT/ICD-10

coding and insurance guidelines. Preferably in Ob/Gyn office. Proficiency in billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Customer service skills in handling patient questions and concerns with professionalism, empathy and patience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle unexpected situations calmly and problem-solving patient concerns or conflicts. Ability to work independently or collaborate in a team environment. Work Schedule In-person Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm
